Denon launched the DCD-50 CD transport to partner the original PMA-50, and that model continues alongside the PMA-30 and PMA-60. But now there’s the DCD-100, designed to match the wider footprint of the Design Series DRA-100 network receiver, and with both coaxial output for a direct digital output to the receiver, and analogue out for use with other amplifiers. Like the DCD-50 it offers system remote control, to allow one-handset operation with a partnering Design Series amplifier or receiver, and its slot-loading CD transport plays not just CDs, but also MP3 and WMA files on recordable discs.
