SONUS FABER
Artistic craftsmanship, technology, and delicacy — these are the three fundamental values of Sonus faber embodied in its loudspeakers. The combination of woodworking craftsmanship with the ancient art of lute-making, modern metalworking methods, and the excellence of the Northern European school of loudspeaker design is becoming increasingly refined.
The history of Sonus faber — the story of a small artisan workshop that, over the years, transformed into a powerful global corporation — has been complex and full of changes, much like a symphony. Here, emotion, sound, and perfection come together to create a unique product. The boldest and simplest ideas give life to the most ambitious projects, which — like true musical instruments — have been captivating every lover of music and great sound for nearly 30 years.
What remains constant is the experience of creating and listening to each speaker, combined with a scientific approach without sacrificing the two main elements: emotion and music. In this way, over the years, the musical expressions encapsulated in the speakers have come to life, one after another.
The Sonus faber factory is a place for music. Within its walls, the aesthetic solutions of contemporary art blend with functional form, architectural design, and nature: a glass core enclosed by two wooden wings — reminiscent of the curves of a lute — where natural light is diffused, creating a harmonious glow.
Sonus faber is currently part of the World of McIntosh product portfolio, a holding company that includes brands such as McIntosh, Audio Research, Wadia Digital, Sumiko, and Pryma. Together with its American “sisters,” Sonus faber forms one of the largest groups in the high-end sector, boasting the world’s most prestigious speakers and advanced audio electronics in its product portfolio.
